Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
